Peel the ginger and cut it into small pieces. Cook it in the water with the other spices for five minutes. Pour it through a sieve. Bring the liquid back to a boil and pour it over the green tea leaves in the pot. Let it steep for three minutes and pour through a sieve.
Pour the green tea into the glasses, sweetening it to taste. As a decorative touch, you can place cinnamon with sparklers in the glasses.
