What is the difference between regular tea and herbal tea?
When people refer to "regular tea" they
typically mean Black, Oolong, Green, or White tea made from the leaf of the
plant, camellia sinensis, grown principally in China, India, Sri Lanka, Japan,
Africa and other subtropical mountainous areas around the world.
Herbal teas, properly called "herbal tisanes", are brewed from the roots, stems, bark, leaves and flowers of other plants, many of which taste good and/or have reported health benefits. Herbal teas are at least as old as "regular" tea, and have been an important part of cultural experience. Most modern medicines are distilled from herbal plants, or copied from nature in the form of synthetic compounds.
Why is green tea expensive?
Supermarkets sell cheaper green tea. There are many forms of green tea like there are many forms of wine. You can buy cheap wine (blended and made in stainless steel vats) or expensive high quality wine (carefully picked grapes nurtured in wooden barrels). Mount Fuji sells the highest quality green tea, carefully picked and dried using the experience and knowledge handed down from father to son.
Green tea naturally has approximately 15 to 50 mg of caffeine per cup. Coffee has 80-200 mg/cup. Black Tea has 40-90 mg/cup.
How much caffeine is in the Decaf Green Tea?
No more than 0.1% caffeine remains in Decaf Green Tea.
What happens to the antioxidant content when you decaffeinate the Decaf Green Tea?
Natural carbon dioxide is used to decaffeinate the green tea leaves. This process removes the caffeine, leaves no chemical residue, and maintains almost all of the beneficial antioxidants in the tea leaves.
How do the diet teas work?
Diet teas are traditional herbal beverages used in China for generations. These diet teas were popular with those concerned with cleansing and digestion.
We recommend that, when dieting, you follow a balanced weight loss diet and the advice of your health care professional. Be sure to include plenty of fresh vegetables, fruits, juices and pure water. These diet teas are not recommended for children, elderly, or sick people, or pregnant women and nursing mothers.

How should green tea be stored?
Green tea will arrive in a plastic-lined paper bag with a fold-down top, which is suitable for temporary storage. For longer-term storage, it is best to use a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid, preferably metal, such as a canning jar. Place in a cool, dry area, out of direct sunlight, such as a closed cupboard. Stored this way, your tea will last indefinitely
How do you brew green tea and herbal tea?
Brew Green Tea : Steep a tea bag in a cup of boiling water for 3 minutes; for stronger flavor, steep longer. Normally, oversteeping of green teas can make them bitter, however, our green teas are very mild and have little bitterness, so you can steep them longer, according to your taste. We recommend steeping the Decaf Green Tea with Ginseng and the Ginkgo and Decaf Green Tea longer, up to 10 minutes, or longer, to get the full benefits of the herbs in these teas. These teas do not get bitter with longer steeping.
Brew Herbal Tea : Steep a tea bag in a cup of boiling water for 5-10 minutes; for stronger flavor, and more herbal benefits, steep longer. A tea bag can be re-used for additional herbal benefits. The Ginger Tea and American Ginseng Teas are made from 100% pure root, and can be boiled for a few minutes to extract more flavor and benefits; be sure to re-use these tea bags a few times to get all their benefits.
Brew Iced Green Tea : Steep two tea bags in a cup of boiling water for 3-10 minutes, depending on the tea (see above), remove tea bags, then add ice and enjoy.
How does one make a perfect cup of green tea?
Does green tea need to be served in a special way?
The best way is to use a Japanese tea pot, the reason being that there is a mesh at the base of the spout. This stops the tea leaves from going into the cup and means all the tea that you pour will be the same. The best way to serve is to pour a little in each cup then repeat this again in reverse (3 times for normal cup) this ensures that each cup has exactly the same taste.
